【記者侯逸蓁專訪】「我最大的教學目標,就是平等且個別的對待每一位學生。」獲得110學年度特優導師的政經系副教授安娜,以溫柔的嗓音、總是面帶微笑說明,自己熱愛教學,在課堂上她花費心思認真準備,私底下輔導學生盡心盡力。她叮囑自己,不能以第一印象去評斷學生,要傾聽他們的問題。
「現在遇到的挫折,對學生來說,是一次學習與成長的機會,不應該讓他們停止前進。」所以安娜會給予學生適當的建議,讓他們明確地知道自己的方向,以積極的態度,指引學生解決問題的方式,鼓勵學生向前邁進。
當學生開始懷疑,所學對未來能否有所幫助時,安娜就會想辦法讓他們知道,這些知識技能實際應用的地方,以及運用的方式。她舉例:「我教授的一門課『質性研究方法』,課堂上也許有學生會覺得,學習如何做研究這項技能不重要,我就會提點他們,其實在進入職場後,研究無所不在,做研究可以促進批判性思考,從不同面相看待一件事。」
除此之外,安娜教導學生,如何做筆記和管理時間的方法,讓他們的學習更有效率;在促進自主思考方面,她以加分制的方式,鼓勵學生主動提出意見、詢問問題再給予回饋,每當完成一個階段的進度時,搭配學習單的設計,查看學生是否瞭解上課內容,同時她也經常更新教學教材,找時間參加工作坊,持續累積知識,帶到課堂上與學生分享,藉由課程內容的創新,引起學生對課程的興趣,知曉技能的實用性。
身為政經系大三生出國,前往波蘭華沙大學和居禮夫人大學的負責導師,安娜認為,與國外姊妹校合作,提供學生能獨立學習很大的空間,「尤其與歐美地區相較,到波蘭交換可以為學生減少經濟負擔,還能接觸到當地特色文化。」
除了協助學生出國輔導,安娜常常與出國交換的學生連絡,了解他們在國外的學習狀況,且曾經在2017與2018年親自到兩所學校探望學生,一同在城市中散步聊天,建立良好的師生連結。由於安娜總是支持著每一位學生,許多人畢業後還是會持續和她保持連繫,向她分享生活經歷與對波蘭的喜愛,同時感謝老師曾經的建議與教導,不少學生留下感恩小卡,這一切讓安娜非常感動,也成為了她的教學動力之一。
Anna, an associate professor in the Department of Global Politics and Economics, who received the Outstanding Teacher award for the 110th Academic Year, has a key teaching goal – treating each student equally and providing individual attention. Her passion for teaching is evident through meticulous class preparation and dedicated private tutoring.
Anna emphasizes avoiding quick judgments based on first impressions and encourages listening to students' concerns. She believes that the challenges students face are opportunities for learning and growth. Anna provides constructive advice, ensuring students understand their direction and issues, guiding them with a positive problem-solving attitude.
When students question the practicality of their learning, Anna illustrates the real-world applications of knowledge and skills. For instance, in her Qualitative Research course, she connects research skills to industry relevance and critical thinking.
Anna teaches effective note-taking and time management, enhancing learning efficiency. To promote independent thinking, she uses a bonus system, encouraging participation and feedback. Regular updates to teaching materials, workshop participation, and sharing accumulated knowledge keep her classes engaging and practical.
As the overseer of junior-year study abroad programs in Poland, Anna values collaboration with sister universities, providing students with affordable opportunities for independent learning and cultural exploration.
Beyond assisting with overseas guidance, Anna maintains contact with students abroad, even visiting them in 2017 and 2018. Her continuous support fosters lasting connections, with graduates expressing gratitude and sharing life experiences, a testament to Anna's impactful teaching.
