Chip Course Offered to Junior Students

The policy of “chip-system business administration,” a new course of College of Management, is changed: the original required one and a half year is reduced to one year, and students fulfilling the course requirement can receive certificates.

The course of “chip-system business administration” was designed by Advisory Office of Ministry of Education, with experts and scholars’ participation. Six universities have been elected to offer that course. Besides Tamkang, all the other five are national universities, including Taiwan University, Tsinghua University, Chiaotung University, Chengkung University, and Sun Yat-sen University. As Kuo Chao-an, the full-time assistant of the course, indicates, since the enrollment began, the course has attracted many junior students who will graduate next year. Therefore, part of the course, originally scheduled for the second year, is moved to the second semester, reducing the minimal time of completing the course to one year and allowing more graduates-to-be, who will enter into the job market next year, to enroll the course.

The deadline of enrollment is next Tuesday. Students interested in taking the course please go to B307. All the related information can be accessed on the website http://www.soc.im.tku.edu.tw
