The vision of Tamkang University is encapsulated in the equation AI+SDGs=∞, and in recent years, we have made significant progress toward this goal by actively promoting dual-track transformation in digital and net-zero areas, yielding fruitful results. This progress is reflected in Tamkang’s impressive rankings in various global university reports, including the QS World University Rankings 2025, U.S. News & World Report’s Best Global Universities 2024-2025, THE Impact Rankings 2024, THE Asia University Rankings 2024, WRWU Webometrics Ranking of World Universities January 2024, and the EduRank Best Global Universities 2024.
Tamkang’s faculty and students have also performed admirably. Additionally, the Aerospace Engineering Department’s rocket team successfully launched rockets 3 times in 2 years, fulfilling the mission of the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA). Meanwhile, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department’s robotics team claimed the HuroCup Kid Size All-Around Champion for the 13th time at the Robot World Cup. The College of Education became the first in Asia to receive certification from the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF).
Tamkang University has also excelled in building a sustainable campus. Collaborating with Microsoft Taiwan and FarEasTone, Tamkang became the nation’s first all-cloud smart campus. Its net-zero transformation efforts earned it the National Sustainable Development Award from the Executive Yuan in 2023 and the Gold Award in Energy Saving Excellence from the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2022. Tamkang was recently awarded the MOE Sports Torch Award for the 2024 academic year and the 23rd ARE-QP Award for Excellence in Quality Practices, advancing its goal of becoming a resilient, glocalized, cloud-smart, and sustainable university city.
Alumni support has also played a key role. Contributions include scholarships, the construction of the Hsu Shou Chlien International Conference Center, support for university development, and the provision of industry-academic internship opportunities. The nationwide summer new student and parent seminars have further solidified Tamkang as a top choice for students.
