A series of lectures sponsored by the English Department, TKU, is scheduled to take place between December 10 and 11. Dr. Patricia Tolmie, famed scholar on English Teaching, Winona State University, USA, also a sister school of TKU, has been scheduled to give 3 featured lectures, plus a discussion on a special topic. Following are the particulars: the time, the place and the topic of this special event:

Topic: “Learning Strategies for Pre-Reading”
Place: International Conference Room, Ching-sheng Memorial Hall
Same day, 2:10-4:00 P.M.
Topic: “Learning Strategies for Reader-Text Interaction”

On December 11(Teu.), 2:10-4:00 P.M.
Topic: “Learning Strategies for Post-Reading”

Same Day, 10:00-12:00 noon
Dr. Tolmie will hold a discussion on a special topic: “Teaching Remedial Reading and Strategies Employed by EFL Students”
Place: Room T70l, Ching-sheng Memorial Hall
Dr. Tolmie will also schedule a special hearing with TKU students who are interested in going abroad to continue their studies.
