Jin-Cai Chen Donated Thousands of Boxes of Pineapples, Freshly Cut Compost Reflects Sustainability

The Tamkang University Worldwide Alumni Association President, Jin-Cai Chen feels that the domestic pineapple-producing season is near the corner. To take care of the hard-working farmers and contribute to the alma mater, he offered 1372 boxes of fresh pineapples of the season to the University on April 13th (Tuesday) at 9:30 AM. A pineapple giveaway ceremony was held in the WIN Hall of Hsu Shou-Chlien International Conference Center. President Dr. Huan-Chao Keh, Chairman Dr. Chia-I Chang, Executive Director of Alumni Services and Resources Development Dr. Chun-Young Perng, and other first-level supervisors attended to personally thank the alumni for his generosity and invited faculty and staff to taste.

Kendo Club Won Men's & Women's Double Team Champions in the National Student Championships

The Kendo Club participated and performed outstandingly in the "45th National Student Kendo Championships" hosted by the Republic of China Kendo Association at the Taipei Gymnasium from March 27th to 28th. The club defeated many universities including Taiwan University and won the men's and women's team score match champion in the college group.

The Go Club Wins the Championship of the NCCU Cup Sub-Level Group

On March 27th, the Go Club participated in the "17th National School Go Team Championship of NCCU Cup" sponsored by NCCU Go Club at National Cheng-Chi University. Wen-Han Liao, a freshman from the Department of Industrial Economics, Yuan-Hsin Wang, a freshman from the Department of Industrial Economics, and Yu-Lun Hsu, a freshman from the Department of Banking and Finance teamed up to participate, through all obstacles, they jointly won the championship of the sub-level group.

Tamkang Cultivates Soft Power - Allows Graduates to Apply What They’ve Learned Universally

The Office of Alumni Services and Resources Development held a seminar on the "Questionnaire Survey on the Flow of Students Graduating 1, 3, and 5 Years of 2018, 2016, and 2014" in the Ching-Sheng International Conference Hall on March 10th, assisted by the analysis of Assistant Professor Chih-Hung Chung of the Department of Educational Technology. The data within the 1 and 3 years of graduating shows the "Current Job Overall Satisfaction" as generally satisfied, and the "Current job content is consistent with the degree and professional training courses" respondents tend to be in line with the trend. It is believed that a university cultivates soft power, which can only be brought into play after social baptism.
