A Great 2016 Graduation

【Yi-xuan Lin, Tamsui Campus Report】On Jun. 5 (Sunday) Tamkang University held the 2015-16 graduation ceremony in the Shao-mo Memorial Gymnasium. President Flora Chia-I Chang hosted the event as other special guests attended including President of Chung-ang University of Korea, Chang-soo Kim, Alumni and Director of the Board of TKU Alumni Association, Ding-chuan Chen, Ambassador of Tuvalu, Minute Alapati Taupua, Former TKU Presidents Yea-hong Chen, Yun-shan Lin and Horng-jinh Chang along with directors and professors of all departments. This year’s graduating students totalled to around 7,200, including 428 international students from 53 countries.

MOE Provides Progress for 39 Programs

【Yin-xuan Liao, Tamsui Campus Report】Tamkang University’s Office of Research and Development announced the list for subsidies provided by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The list included a total of 39 approved projects: 17 in the College of Engineering, 9 in the College of Business and Management, 6 in the College of Liberal Arts, 5 in the College of Science and 1 for both the College of Global Development and the College of Foreign Languages and Literature.

【Wan-xuan Qin, Tamsui Campus Report】On May 2 on the 4th floor in the Shao-mo Memorial Gymnasium the “Sports Team Representative Graduation Tea Party” took place with around 80 players and coaches in attendance. Director of the Office of Physical Education, Shu-feng Hsiao, expressed, “No matter how many years the players have participated in these events, I’m always grateful to have them turn out for another competition. I’m certain that whether these representatives win or lose, they will give their best effort and that is always a victory.”
